Window Problem - BMW Forum

Well... i have power windows in my car, and when i roll it up, it becomes very slow at the top. It also begins to tip foward (towards the front of the car) slightly, but that can be corrected by pulling the window towards the back.

So... it did this before and the result was a broken window regulator (it bent and sheered off).

Now, i took out the weather stripping and put it back in... no dice, however there was no slowdown without weatherstripping. Any other suggestions?

It appears that the window has worked itself out of alignment. Consult the Bently Manual for instructions and realign window being careful to disable airbag.

I have found that these window mechanisms need some spray lube applied over the years. You can try some spray silicone and see if that's enough, or you may need to pull the interior door panel and spray a heavier lube on the window track and running gear. These cars are ten or more years old now and the original lube is drying up.
