| Window Fuse Problem - Pls Help Hi all,
I have an e36 316i and I was working on the brake shoes and put the windows down whilst doing so and now i can't get them back up!
I have had problems with this fuse in the past - fuse number 33, which according to the fuse lid, also has the "charger socket", interior lights and left side light. Now i normally just put in another fuse and the windows start working again - i have used a higher amp fuse (the lid says 10) but it is still blowing! I have disconnected the ciggerette lighter and the rear light cluster and all the interior lights are working so it doesnt seem as tho something on this fuse is shorting in that lot. I have pulled up the switches from the centre console and i can't really see anything wrong with them but i'm not really sure what i would be looking for. Now i have read that i should be checking the comfort relays? what is that?? there are relays in the fuse box but is there a different relay i can check?
I am really stuck and really annoyed as I cannot get the windows up now...sigh
