Wierd 325i Problem???

This is my first post in here so I appreciate all the help in advance. Here's the deal. I have a 1995 BMW 325i automatic. I can go outside and start it right up with no hesitation right now. The problem comes after I shut it off. When I go to restart it, it won't start. The first time I try to turn it over after I shut it off, it seems to try, but then it just turns over. It will just turn over from here on out. If I wait and let it sit for a while, it'll start right up and the whole thing just keeps going on. I have no clue what is causing this. Any information would be greatly appreciated. My name is Chris by the way.

welcome to the forum VitaminC. Have you ever changed the fuel filter?

I was told that it was done just before I got the car from the previous owner, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to change it. Also, an update, I read on some other forums and threads that someone was having a similar problem and checked out their fuel pump relay, so I pulled mine, gave it a few taps and put it back in. I was able to start the car over and over. I'm thinking I may just have a dirty/bad relay. I would still appreciate extra input though. Thanks.

I hope so, I'm going to air up the tires (back right one has slow leak) and drive it around for a while today and see how it does. Hopefuly I'll be back in business. Thanks for the input.

Yea i am having the same problem with my 318i, at random times it starts and it doesnt, but it turns over fine it just doesnt start, where is the Fuel Pump relay located cause i might be having the same problem as yours.

On my 95 325i it is under the hood on the firewall on the drivers side. There is a box with a cap on it. You take the cap off and most of your fuses are under there. On mine, the fuel pump relay is the one in the front, right most bank or slot.
