Whistling noise coming from the engine

Giday guys,

There is a whistling noise coming from my engine and i believe it might be the fan belt...? Its quite odd but is louder when you first start the engine (in the morning), then as the day progresses it gets a bit softer but still remains... it also seems to stall when you first start it in the morning (which has never happened in the 2 years that i've owned it!) I think because of this issue it has even lost some power!

another issue that could be linked to the loose/broken fan belt is that the battery no longer charges....

Has anyone got any ideas as to what might be happening?
I dont know what to do and i'm desperate for help! I'm 19 and have been paying my way through uni and all my fees for my car but if i cant get this sorted out for as cheaply as i can then i might have to sell it and look at an alternative! I love this car but i'm worried i'm wasting the little money i have one it...

If i need to then i can record it and post it on youtube

Think you may have answered your own question, buddy ;-)
A "cold" and loose fan-belt will cause this.

Welcome to the Werkz.

Check out the condition of the main drive belt, look for cracks in the ridged surface, or damage to the edge of the belt. It may be a matter of replaceing the belt, or just retensioning it.
