hey guyz,
recently my car started making this whistling sound when i accelerate... it doesn't do that in idle... gets louder as i go faster and rev more...
does any one know what this maybe?
does it get louder just when you go faster, or when you accelerate hard (I know, these two things might sound like the same thing, but they're not - is the whistling any different from 80-100mph thorughout all revs, or does the whistling seem dependant on the revving) - if it's dependent on the speed, it might just be wind. If it's dependent on revving... check fan belts. But I'm a n00b, so...
what up dawg, my car does this too kinda got used to it but i still feel imbressed seeing how im driving a bmw and its making a whisting noise anytime i acclerate or just constant speed over 1500 rpms but mine only kicks in after about 15 minutes of probably highway speed i wuold say
but i asked a similar question and someone also said belt so thats what i think it is
it seems to come in between 2000 to 3000 rpms... i notice it more when i take off from a light and rev a little (not as hard)... i think it also stays constant on highway when i m cruising.. but because of other wind and road noise, its not as noticeable...
appericate your help...
