Ok I installed my waterpump today but I had a hell of a time just getting the car to stay on the jack stands. I have been putting them right under the front frame part of my car. It's a wide metal bar that is straight and flat in the middle but then kind of angles up at the sides. I have been having to put the stands pretty close to eachother because I wanted to get them on the flat straight part. When I put one stand in place and then tryed to jack up the other side, the car ended up sliding on the jackstand and then up the angled part of the bar. This caused some minor dents which I hope won't hurt anything. It just doesn't seem like the stands are supposed to go where I have been putting them. Anyone have any pictures of where the jackstands should properly be placed? Thanks
If you look on your side skirts.. there is a little circle looking punch out.. if you look directly under the car from that jack hole.. there should be a round rubber 'jack stand' mount... depending upon which jack stand you have... it would sit pretty good on the rubber mount... if you jack each side of the car up... and put the jack stand in the predescribed spot.. it wont move.. but still be careful!!!
