| I have a 1994 325is and have had my ICV out three times. Good news is the easy way to get it out takes about 20min. First remove air box, then mass air flow meter (leave harness plugged in and set out of way). Then remove rubber boot between mass air flow meter and throttle body(only disconnect large hose underneath that goes to ICV). Next remove air intake duct to alternator. After that there is a bracket that holds the intake manifold to the engine block, take it out (bottom bolt is 13mm, requires a nuckle and extention). Look under the manifold, and behind a few rubber hoses, you'll see it in a rubber mounting ring. Use a nut driver (red 1/4" worked for me) to remove top hose that goes to intake manifold. Pull top hose off with hands. Push metal clip on wire connector in and pull off wire connector. Next, push ICV towards rear and slip it out of the rubber mounting ring. Large hose and ICV can then be fanaggled out. Good Luck. |
