Where in the engine bay can I find a 12V power supply that only turns on and off with the ignition? I'm trying to frind a PS for my electric engine fan.
Any ideas?

I'm trying to think of something that could handle the added stress on line but Im not coming up with much. What about tapping the line off the cruise control module?

What about taping something at the fuse box.
perhaps put the fan on a thermal switch of some kind?
checke the horn power. you maybe able to tap the horn power and ground to the frame if its hooked up so that when you press the horn it just grounds the rest of the horn circuit making it sound..
um. fog lights? parking lights? they are switched.
I think I'm going to use my headlights. I have a model BMW where I don't have daytime running lights. However, my low beams are always on reguardless of what setting I use. So I assume this would work then? If so, which wire is the +ve PS for the low beam headlight?
Thanks!
Bryan

A new power line --> always install a fuse into it!!
Hah thanks man.
I just went outside to do this. I tapped it into the headlights and I blew the fuses 2 times!
I'm confused though, what do you mean run a new 12V PS? From where?
thanks,
Bry

Errr.. you must be joking!
The electric fan kills my stock battery if I leave it on for more than 5 seconds!
