high guys got a problem when on the motorway hitting 60mph or above and i have to rear left say to change lane's my steering wheel shakes violently only when i turn left though
at low speeds it doesnt shake at all anybody got any clues of to what this is ?????
hey, sorry if this sounds rude but i read your post like three times and just can't get what you are trying to say and/or explain. just trying to help...did you check the obvious things like wheel bolts being tight...or if the wheels are stable when you shake them (off the ground of course)? is there a lot of noise when it vibrates? is there a lot of noise when it isn't vibrating? does the vibrating go away when you go faster? does it happen under accel./decel.? describe more and i think that we can help more.
That could be a LOT. I wouldn't think it's the wheel (tire) unless it shakes at high speed...
its when i go over 60mph and change to left hand lanes its the same feeling
as when tyre balancing is out but only when i turn left slightly quite scary to be honnest:

That's what's weird - tire balancing would also be noticeable straightline.
I'm going to agree with the majority and say ball joints.
Sounds like the BallJoints, I had them replaced for the same reason. Once I got like 50MPH it would shake violently. Got them replaced now the car drives great.
the only thing with balljoints... alot of mechanic shops will make u change the control arms too.. because its tough to take the old ones out...
and since the ball joint is messed up... im allmost positive that the control arm is also bent...
a way to see if its the balljoint..
jack up the car, and have the wheel thats shaking, in the air... then grab the tire in a 3 and 9 oclock position.. and shake it back and forth... if there is alot of play, then its the balljoint!!
