What Is Your Cars Favorite Kind Of Motor Oil?

Hey, i want everyone to answer two questions:

--what is your favorite motor oil for your car?
...and...
--Rate the loudness of your engine when it is idleing, 1 being unhearable and 10 being lots of engine related noises.

ok! first off, the motor oil that i have used for along time is Castrol 20W50, because that is what my dad has always told me to put in it.

And if i rate my car's loudness i would say its in the 2-3 range depending on if its warmed up or not, if warmed up then usually around a 2.

the whole reason i'm asking this is because when i first got it (about 4-5 months ago) it was so quite you couldn't tell it was running when you got out and stood beside of it, and now that i've had the oil changed its alittle louder and more noisey. so just let me know, thanx!

You should see the manual to find out which oil is appropriate for your climate.

If you dont have one il take a pic of the page in the manual with all the oilgrade/temp charts in it.

for me 15w-50 mobil 1 synthetic is perfect and my car idles fine with no valve tick at all even when starting from cold.

yeah, i've looked through the manual and must have missed the oil charts, lol, your sig pic shows snow, is that you? cause i live in wertern north carolina and we have a fairly cold climate as well, i may just start using 15W50 mobil 1 synthetic then.
