Im 16 right now and drive a 94 318is. My original goal was to buy an M3 with like 75000 miles on when i was 19. Thats going to be like 13k and i dont think i will have that kind of moneym im doing this without a loan too! So i was thinking that by about 2005-06 i will sell my 318 for about 4-5k which is reasonabl, and buy a 95-96 325is or a 328. which would you guys recommend for the age, they are pretty close in power. For you people who have an 325, are they pretty quick (i would get a 5 speed) and with chip intake and full exhaust they move pretty good dont they? thanks

David

anything would move pretty quick compared to the 4 cylinder 318. the 328 has a bit more power than the 325 and few more extras here and there. over all there pretty similar and with a few small upgrades you can make them pretty fast.

Just for mentioning you'll get the gSX .....you are banned!...........j/k. I'd rather sport your 318 E36 anytime rather than a GSX. ...........

I dunno man....the 318 is a puss car compared to the power and upgrade ability of the 4G63 motor in the GSX, plus with some basic bolt on's the GSX will pull high 12 second traps like no other.. bmw still best for luxury, but think about what you want, sports car, or luxury...

enough talk about not getting the bmw, because we all know that's the best choice. just curious though, what sort of M3 with 75k were you thinking of getting? I did a quick search and couldn't find anything for near that price..

If you get a gsx and try to mod it, youll be spending so much more time and money just getting your car to run. Once you start modding a 4g63, they start falling apart... trust me, my best friend is a DSM freak and every week something breaks.... literally.... and it is widely known among the dsm world that the 4g63 is incredibly reliable stock, but as soon as you mod it in any way.... forget it, stuff starts breaking left and right. anyways, a BMW is just better. :P
