I have a 1994 325is with an automatic transmission and i was wondering what upgrades are recommended for starters. I am looking primarily for performance upgrades, but dont know where to start. Im very new to cars and upgrading them. Thanks
How about upgrading the air intake to http://www.electrodyne.cc/Merchant2/mercha...e=142.52.36.100
or would the dinan air intake system be better.
Also where could i find the JC chip? And which company makes the best strut brace? Thanks for you help.

yes but adding a free flow exhaust is always a good thing, not to mention it sounds cool and with an intake it would sound even better if you want a chip and intake that would be good too, but if your gonna spend 1k it's your choice, but if you could spend a little more you could get a chip, intake, and exhaust all at once which would be the best thing to do, IMO, so maybe you should save until you can buy all three things, these are just the most basic and easy to install mods you can do, and they give you more hp that you can feel
never mind, i just found this for you, check out this performance package from AA, i think it's your best optionCLICK ME!!!!!!!! 15BHP GAIN AT THE REAR WHEELS FOR $1,050
the reason i recomend aa is because i've heard nothing but good things from them, and everyone says thay have good customer service and they can help you if you have any problems during install again have fun with whatever you decide to buy
Im almost positive this is a dumb question but ill ask anyway what is the difference between HP and BHP. I noticed that system gives you 15.75 BHP which is the same as just buying the chip. Also ive seen chips that give you more HP http://www.autowerks.com/xcart/customer/pr...&cat=282&page=1 . It would also intrest me to know why the exhuast and the Cold Air Intake System dont add any HP? But thank you for the advice i think i will buy all three at once. Now if i only knew which three to buy.

intake and exhaust do add hp, bhp (break horspower, used outside of the us)is the power of the engine measured with the engine out of the car, without the fans and other accesories, hp is what the us uses, the power of the engine is tested while it's in the car, with all the accesories, so bhp readings will be lower than hp readings
also hp readings are more than rwhp, rear wheel horspower, is power that goes to the ground, hp is measured at the flywheel so some of the power is lost in the drivetrain, don't be fooled by hp readings rwhp is what matters
