just wondering what you guy's with 325i's are gettin on top speed
im getting roughly 120mph (dont know kph sad i know) all ive got is
a k&n air filter and full stainless scorpion exhaust
what are you guys getting at an average top speed in mph because im thick
i think with a stock ecu/chip and no gearing mods you should be getting somewhere around 128-130mph. that is the most common top off speed i've seen. before i got my TMS chip mine topped off somewhere around 130. now it tops off at aroun 155mph with the chip, but no i haven't seen it yet, lol.

there are a few diff chips to choose from depending on your cars model and/or year of production.

etc. there are several, just shop around, but to be honest, most people say they notice more with the TMS chip. thats the only one i've tried and i love it. but the only downside is that once you isntall it you have to use 91 or higher fuel unless you wanna chance blowing your engine or messing it up, but i used 91 or higher anyways so it wasn't a big blow to me at all, lol .
what's going on with mine then i got 120 nearly hitting redline how can i make it faster besides chip? mines 1992
How close to redline? If it was a couple of hundreds of revs, I would say it's your differential. The higher the number, the lower the speed, but quicker the acceleration.

i would say 1000 rpm little less yor gonna tell me me gearbox is goin arent you its a manual transmition aswel forgot to mention
Okay, a 120 at , say 5000 revs, is equal to 144 at 6000 revs. That extra 1000 revs does make a difference. Sounds like that is normal. Would the revs not go any higher, or did you just not push it. The redline here in the states is about 6400 rpm. It it the same in the U.K.?
No, not the gearbox. The differential is also known as the rear end. Where the driveshft ends at the rear axles. And no, doesn't sound like a driveline trouble.

yes its 6400rpm here so you basically saying if you gradually build your speed up you will get more top end than you would flying through the gears with your foot right to the metal?? am i right or wrong in thinking that??
