Hi,

I am need of new shocks and was wondering wchich ones do you recommend. I was thinking of the Billstein touring class. I have a 1996 318ti (M sport-package). I am new to this car and do not know exactly what the M sport package consits of. Can anybody please explain?

agreed.

Bilsteins are the only way to go for shocks.

If you want springs as well, go with H&R or Eibach.

Thanks for the reply.

Bilstein has three type of shocks but I do not know which ones to get. they have the following:

Touring Series
HD (Heavy duty) and
Sports.

I have the stock sport suspension but I am wondering if the Touring will work since they are less $$$

I live in NY I’ve got some Bilstein HD with some M5 17” replicas when I drive the car for a long time or when I get out I get blur vision cause there’re so many pot holes here in NY ghead thank God I didn’t buy any lowering springs or I’ll be dead by now, but the car handles very will thou. Now every time I hit a pot hole big or small the car’s interior make lot of vibrating sounds. So watch what you buy if you got lots pot holes like NY leave it along.
