I wanna get my car tinted, but i definitely dont want it to look crappy or make it look unclean, so just curious what some of you all think is best percentage of tint to get, all windows?, and also something that doesnt give you problems with you know who, thanks!
well i got a black 318is. I got 15% all around and it looks very clean. Personally i just want to get limo because the guy convinced me in getting this so if a cop pulled up and could see you they would not care as much as if they couldnt. with 15 you can barely see an outline of the person but just enough at night it looks real nice. and yes it does take a little bit to get used to seeing out them its kinda like wearing sunglasses all the time but then you get used to it easily. I think im going to go back on my spring break after next week to get them retinted limo.
no windshield isnt tinted hahaah that would be crazy. But yea i have had these 15 all around for about 6 months now and no problems at all with the cops. i even got nailed for speeding when i didnt even know i was speeding going to work in the morning. I was just keeping along side the other cars and i was the lucky duck to get picked off. cop said nothing about the windows. Im sure my area is not as strict with that law though.
i want some tints too for my car, my friend told me 35% is pretty good? i got a 4door so in cali you cant tint your front windows or something so i might as well get them light enough all around so the blend in together.
as for the rear winsheild, what is a good %? I want to see out good at night, which is my major concern and durring the day where the % is enough so i can spot cops
i personally prefer 35% all the way around. i work at a tint shop i have had limo all around 20 all around and 35% is simply the cleanest it gives the car a more sophisticated look rather than a ghetto look
5% in back?? can you see out of it at all? I think there's a point where it's just too much. i have 25% all around, except for the winsheild of course, and personally i don't think that tinting the strip on the windsheild looks very good.
I believe mine is around 40% it was already on the car when i bought it. I personally don't like the real dark look. I also think that tinting the back darker than the fronts looks horrible. If you are gonna tint it use the same on the back and the sides. My friend just got 30% on his lexus is300 and it looks great I don;t think I would go any darker than that. It is hard to see in, but easy to see out without problems.
It depends on what state you live in. In Missouri the fronts are limited to 35%. In California it is limited to 20%. In Maryland i think it is also 35%. In my opinion you should keep it uniform all around. Hopefully in Ohio your limit is 20%. I think anything darker than 20% generally does really affect your sight at night.
