10w-30 is an all around good oil to use. For florida during the summer you might want to go to a lighter oil like 10w-20, 5w-30 ect... however, you don't have to, but a lot of people will reccomend the lighter oil. I live in a cimate where I can really get away with useing 10w-30 year round so unfortunately I can't give you the best summer weight. But then again since it is so close to the end of summer, you might want to just go ahead and put in the 10w-30. Also make sure you get a new oil filter as well if you still plan to change the oil yourself.

10w30? You never redline your bimmer? If so then 10w30 is ok.
