My poor baby!! This happened last week on the highway. Some asshole cut me off and this is the result. Dont know exaclty how much it will cost or if it is totalled yet. But i hit the gaurdrail soo hard that it broke my front right shock in half, that is why it looks like the wheel is leaning in, cause the only thing holding it on is the lower control arm. But im ok, THANK GOD FOR SEAT BELTS. Saved my ass!

Yup agreed.........Shouldn't be totalled...............I think all you all seen my car before ...also suffer in a minor accident... Changing two new doors is very expensive though....

at 70mph??? did the airbags go off??? cuz if they did... then maybe... even if its totalled, u should fix that.. thats a sweet ride u got!!! i wouldn't want to loose that!!
yeah thats what i was going tosay 70mph on the side can hurt the frame, not to the point where its undrivable but to where it looks like an older truck going down the riad.... the way they look like they are going kind of sideways! but other than the frame it wont be totalled at all, the dude that cut you off stop and you get his insurance and crap? you shouldnt have to pay for anything right>

No way is there frame damage based on those photos...That is actually considered light sheet metal damage. However, you do need to make sure that there was no damage to the strut tower, and front subframe, lower control arm etc... I would have an " off the record discussion" with your body shop guy and see to it that the whole right side suspension gets replaced, that struts get replaced in pairs in the front, if not all around :-) and that any bushings like control arm or tranny bushing that may have gotten torn from the impact (wink wink) are replaced.
also, the damage to the doors does not seem deep enough to be structural. if that is the case, have your collision place re skin the doors, and save a boatload of cash to be spent on other things like a full set of struts. Always remember... you get to choose where your repairs get done, and you do not have to accept the estimate that your insurance company provides, which will always be lower than the actual damage. you have a right to specify OEM parts, not aftermarket replacment parts, which will diminish the value of your vehicle.
it is always best to get a few high ball estimates, get paid from your insurance company then go in and negotiate a fair price for the work you want done.

Damn Vultures...LOL take that... Seriusly though I want to beleive that the guy has insurance.. and if he does, and the insurance co totals the car... he doesn't get to keep it, they do. So unless he has no insurance, and the guy that cut him off got away or doesn't have insurance.... all you scavengers are out of luck. And if he isn't covered then I KNOW all you guys will be helping him any way you can to put his ride back on the road right?????
