What Engine "code" Do I Have - BMW Forum

The engine "code" for a 328 2.8 liter is a m52 correct. So what is the 2.5 liter in the 325?

yes there is an FAQ on this , but yes your engine code is M52, the 325 was M50

m50b25 to be more specific for the 325

and m52b28 for ur car

i have a 325is so mine should be m50b25 according to you guys. I know that my car is OBDI not II. I had read on the internet that the m50 was for a different car

So also in other words the real reason I am asking is because I have been looking at what people are saying about parts to mod on your car. If I have the m50 then I have stock the manifold that many other people go back to from the m52 engines.

yes, the reason is because the m50 manifold is shorter and slightly more volume.
