Now I know this is a BMW forum, and many of us are biased for BMW's, but give me you honest opinion here. I MIGHT be getting about $10k or so from my parents towards a new or newer car to ad to the $12k I already have. By selling my 328i, i would have about $30k give or take. Im going to pick cars by this price range. (Some cars yes, are in diffent classes) Please feel free to explain why you picked what you did.
to be totally honest if you love BMW's than get the M3, but if you want something affordable with power and money to spare than i would get the STi or Evo8.... the G35 has been reviewed to be a big dissapointment, the S4 is a great car and very comparable to the M3, but here is where my bias comes into play, M3>S4 everyday anyday.

I love BMWs, my friends think im obsessed, however, they are ussually a bit more in price. I love the all-wheel drive S4 because of the year round driving expierice. These are my favorite cars out there, so any would not be a dissapointment, but the BMW's are definetly the sexiest!
I voted M3 just because it is my realistic dream car. I do believe that it handles better and feels better than any of the other cars up there. However, I do also really like the WRX STi option, even though it doesn't "feel" as fast as the Evo.

The M3 does handle amazing, but the extra weight and no AWD i think will not be able to beat the evo or sti... even the 2 S4's would be tough.
go for teh STi. i only say this because its the only other car than a bmw that i would own. I also know for a fact that stock for stock the 2005 sti will beat the E46 M3, in a strait line for shure although iam not to shure about turns(could be close).

I love the E46 ///M3.
But I voted Evo MR anyways. Gotta love AWD.
YOu know, it really depends on what your personality is like. The Evo is definitely a boy racer ride, but they look really hot. The ///M3, well, that thing is just awesome.

yeah m3 isnt exactly a drag car, those sti's/evo's can be 10sec-1/4mile cars!!!
post this poll on a jap car forum and you'll definatelly have a diff outcome! but as most ppl here i'd take the m3, 2nd choice evo! the bmw just has more class and i think rwd is more fun than awd!
E36 M3 +put the difference into upgrades
better styling IMHO
+1 d00d get an m3... i promise you will not be dissapointed with your choice... those others are all great... but the m3 is pure sex... and if you super/tubro it... game t3h #*(! over man =)
The old S4's turbos die. The new S4 despite having a much larger engine is slower in a straight line than an M3, and arguably slower around a track, too.
