I'm going to flush my coolant tomorrow and was wondering how you dispose of the old stuff. I know you can't just pitch it into a dumpster.

DO NOT DUMP IT ANYWHERE.
Bring it to some automotive repair facility and give it them. Most of the time they won't even charge you a disposal fee.

I like the pool idea lol... if you have an outdoor drain, drop it down that. it just goes to the sewers anyways

Make martini's with it. Everclear and Prestone Antifreeze.
MMMM, ETHYLENE-GLYCOL!!!!

.... Yah, go to like jiffylube or some garage chain where they'd get in MAJOR TROUBLE if they just dumped it some place like some random garage. That way, at least THEY are getting rid of it correctly.

How to dispose of antifreeze
General Info:
These disposal methods are commonly accepted, however your local government may have specific instruction and bylaws for safe disposal. To be certain of any restriction contact your local government or waste disposal utility.

Technique:

For small amounts dilute with water and pour into the drain or toilet. Do NOT do this if you are disposing of large quantities or if you have a septic system.

For large quantities take to a designated recycling centre, or return to manufacturer for re-proccesing

One lick is enough to kill a small dog or cat. It tastes sweet to them. So if you don't want to kill people's pets, make sure you dispose of it propertly.
