What is the difference between a red label ecu and a white label ecu?

Acid0atm3al n00b Join Date: Oct 2011 Car: Posts: 35 Photos:	What is the difference between a red label ecu and a white label ecu? ok, so apparently my ecu/dme is bad... while checking out bosch ecm's of the same model number (0 261 200 402) i get ones with red labels and ones with a white label like mine. will a red label ecu work on my car? its a 92 325i manufactured in 7/91
