What Could It Be?

['92 325i Alpine]

Hey what's up. My second post here, and I like what i've been seeing. I have a stock (for now) '92 alpine white 325i.

Okay, my battery will drain in a couple of hours if it's left connected. Due to the amount of power that that sucker is drawing I think it might be that the alternator is shorted out. It still works, but it has enough of a short in it that it'll screw the battery in an hour. I had the battery tested and it's in great shape; it's fairly new too. Does it sound probable or is there something else more common to the E36?

I need your opinion too. Should I put an intake on first or get new wheels? Oh, I have OEM rims and wheels on that puppy, what do you guys think would be a good mid to mid-high grade set of rims and tires for me? What's the best intake, as far as bang for the buck is concerned.

im gonna say its your voltage regulator its in your alternator, this problem happened to my brothers 535is, so try replacing it its not to expensive try bmpdesign.com (1-800-648-7278),i would go for the wheels first,and for the intake build your own all you need is a good air filter and some aluminium piping you could get from your local performance shop,hope this helps
