What Could It Be?

Hey guys...

So my issue was this: My temp gauge never went up much further than JUST out of the blue region... This affected my climate control (I get a lukewarm at best blowing when the heat is on... ), my engine performance, and generally, it just pisses me off to not see this needle right in the middle.

I just got my car back from the stealer, and this was one of the things I was having done... Also, oxygen sensor (I stripped it trying to get it out, so I took it in).

I also replaced the water pump, as I figured why not, especially while they're in there anyway...

LONG STORY SHORT - Gauge still reads barely out of blue, and not much heat either...

Anybody help me out here??

my guess would be a sensor to do with the engine temperature has broken! check all engine sensors! and replace the broken one!

Dude, if you paid the stealer to fix this and its not fixed...bring it back...they are obligated to fix what you paid to have them fix... :wink

That happened to me - I needed a new thermostat.

yea thermostat comes to mind. That should have been done along with the thermostat housing when the water pump was done. IF it wasn't then I'd guess the stat is stuck open..happened to me as well.

I would think you'd replace the thermostat before you replace the water pump. Especially since the thermostat is cheap to replace.


On my last car (a piece of shit) I replaced the radiator cap and it fix my overheating problem. So the morale of my story is replace the cheaper things and work your way up.

Also if the stealer doesn't fix what they are supposed to take your car back!
