hello all....just looking into some options for the car. Its a 97 328i what chip/software upgrade would be the best for me?

Hmmm... chips... chips.... Dinan is popular.... another popular one is the Jim Conforti Shark Injector... I use that... I know people that have used the Dinan.. and gotten most of the same experiances from it.... either way... it helps once you mod the engine more and more.... Jim makes a good CAI too... you should look into that one... you can find all of this at the TMS web site... .its.. www.turnermotorsport.com Good Luck... its often a very crazy adventure into mods of a BMW... have fun though.. thats the whole point.

Reprogramming the OBDII system with a shark injector doesn't yeild nearly the same power increase as a true chip, like OBDI.

I'm not gonna argue with you there...... I'm about to tear my OBDII out and put a OBDI in... just so I can change my fuel and vacume systems to stand alone systems... such a pain in the ass OBDII is... it works though... for what it was made to do.
