then what would be safe with a chip with a removed rev limiter?

i think it revs to 7000 rpms. but i think the absolute limit the M52 motor could take stock is 8000-8150rpms. but id probably try not to take it past the numbers on the tach.

Depending on the brand, chips remove the rev limiter entirely or set a new one at around 7500-8000 RPM.
