I'm looking to purchase a code scanning tool but want to know what is the best that won't break me (300 or below) and what is just the flatout best out there. Also do these scanners do tranny codes too?

thanks...

Try this site before you invest in a scanning tool. I should think it would work on your 3 series. It works on mine, and it's better than shelling out for a tool. Lemme know if it works for you.
