Weird noise - BMW Forum

I am hearing a constant whistling noise from the engine of my 316I SE. The noise does not get louder when I accelerate.

I've uploaded a video, you can hear the noise but the quality is not that great. Listen carefully for the noise in the background.

I only bought the car yesterday, and I don't think it was making that noise when I test drove it. Either that or I may not have noticed it. (Can only hear it when outside of the car)

Any ideas what is wrong? (if anything)

It could just be the quality of your audio recording, but I don't hear anything weird.

It seems to have stopped now. I have 3 months warrenty on it, so if it happens again I guess I will just ask the garage to fix it. Thanks for your response.
