Lately my clutch has been making this really weird noise anytime I press on it (like while shifting gears), even very gently pressing it. Its kinda hard to describe, but its like a hissing/groaning/slight rattle- mixture noise. I dont know what could have caused it. A friend of mine listened to it and said there might be a problem in the hydraulic line somewhere. How reasonable does that sound?
One thing that came to mind was that my clutch has been wearing down and its really getting time to replace it, so could it be something related to that? Like lately it hasnt been catching the greatest in 1st and 2nd gear, and today i was on the freeway and for the life of me I could not get it to drive in 5th, it just kept on revving and revving, I had to drive in 4th all day! I am gonna try and take my car in this week for this stuff, but before I do, I would like to hear suggestions as to what that weird noise could be.
Also, when I replace my clutch, I am thinkjing about getting a sport clutch. What exactly is the different between your stock and sport clutches? WHat about a price difference between the 2? Thanks a lot everybody, all help is greatly appreciated. |
