Weird cabin blower issue

So here's the deal.

There are three settings for the fan: Defrost, face, feet.

The fan pushes air on two of the three: Defrost, and feet.

When you set it to "face" , you can hear it trying to push air, but nothing comes out. It almost sounds like something's blocking the air path. Any suggestions?

She says this occurs when you put the air on recirculate, A/C, et al.

Potentially unrelated: I pulled her OBC out of the dash yesterday to replace bulbs. Could I have jostled something loose behind it? I can't recall anything that would have been bumped that would have interfered with the fan.

I know that when you take the AC module out, the wires run down almost as it its behind and to the left side of the OBC. Its possible that you could maybe have hit a wire or something, but unlikely because they are bundled together pretty well. If you want, pull the AC unit out and the OBC back out to look and make sure all the wires are in tact. Also, sounds like a potential end stage unit resistor problem...do a search for "end stage unit" or "final stage unit" to gain more information on this aspect. Goodluck...

I did the search first. Reading the posts on the resistor, it didn't sound like the problem she's experiencing. I'll pull the OBC again (pain in the butt) and check the wiring. Might test the blower while the OBC's out of the dash.

any other suggestions?

tested the blower motor, and everything's fine. It literally sounds like something's blocking the airflow on the "face" setting. Any suggestions? I would really like to avoid the dealer at all costs.
