do the 92-98 3 series requir 91octain cuz i have a 2005 325 and it requirs 91 and im getting a 94confertible i wasent sure if you need to put supreme in that or not

Mid grade will work fine. My owner's manual says you can use premium for a little more performance and a little less mileage. I used premium for about two months and didn't feel any performance difference or mileage difference. Now that I have the performance chip, I use 91 octane as prescribed by the manufacturer of the chip.

Using higher octanage than that required by your engine/software specs is pretty much a waste of money. You will not get much out of it. Cleaaner fuels, yeah, but not much of a difference. I run 91 because that is what my nanual says and my car is pretty much stock. Sometimes I get 93 because that is all they have. I have never gone under 91, though. The previous owner told me he put only 90 in it.
