Ok.. I used a sprayer at one of those places to wash the car.. just to get the dust off.. I drive away and a within a minute the car stops.. engine dies. Wait a minute or so.. car starts for 20 seconds and then nothing.

Got the car back from the shop this aft and they found water in the computer and they are finding it happening more and more especially on the 95's.!! The computer brain is on the passenger side of the car below the wiper on the firewall..

Get out the silicone guys and be careful.. $200.00 later and a sealed brain box solved my issues... (lucky I did not have to buy a new brain) check the rubber that goes around the seal where the hood is as well.

thats happened to me a few times. Not fun. There is a DIY fix to enhance the drains on the e36 with this problem.

Thats the only wash i use for the last year and a half on my 92 and i havent had any problems....
