Question wanting to buy a 328is DO IT / DONT help

hi im new to the bimmer scene and im wanting to get a 93 328is 5 speed hes asking 3000 which seems reasonable the car has 255k on the body and 90k on the engine and trans if they have the papers proving that does that sound like a good deal ....also hows the cars reliability ...whats some common problems with this model ect....any help or opion will be helpful.....the pic of it is my profile class

Where are you located? That helps when determing price.

I would want to know why the engine only has 90k on it. Meaning why did he swap in a new engine? You definitley want to get as much history on the car as you can.

Common issues were the coolant system had several plastic components that were prone to failure. These included the thermostat housing, water pump impeller, and expansion tank. Upgrades to all these are available for not a lot of of money. The rear shock mounts should be replaced any time you replace the suspension. When you replace them make sure you use the Z3 reinforcement plates as their have been issues in the past with the metal tearing.

If you give me the last 7 digits of the VIN number (known as the Serial Number) I can tell you what options and packages it came with from the factory.
