Vss Obd Or Maf???? Help!!!

Okay so I am driving on the expressway and all of a sudden my engine just loses power it is still running but as soon as it hits between 45 50 mph it suddenly just hits ABORT what would cause it to do this my mech said the OBD codes may be set to low due to parental control WTF?? IDIOT is there a person out there that can help me with this problem...Ive worked on Mercedes but no BMW before.. It idles fine shifts great but soon as it reaches high RMP it kills ??? HELP

E36 models have a MAF (mass air flow sensor).

so would a dirty maf make your car just suddenly die on acceleration and keep the engine running it is almost like there is no fuel to it but it continues to run like a governor

It would cause issues, though I'm not sure it would cause that much by itself.

what about a fuel filter would that cause it to shut down or a vss also is there a way to check the vss on these models

what year and does a lite come on in clusterpanel like tranny lite could be goin in to limp mode
