Awesome! I can't wait to go back!!
Welcome to the club! VV
p.s. reminds me of my trip, except I had a dry day.... wish I had filmed one of my laps. I also got passed by EVERYONE except one old volvo wagon, and someone who was sliding around corners and went off the track.

I feel happy to.. thinking about buying a E30 325i for track use with some collegues.
The cost is 16 euro for the whole Nordschleife
Anyone can use it, because it's a tollroad. In the vid you'll see a camper coming up on a hill doing 5km/h
In a certain corner there was a touring car driving on the outerside of the track, with some grey pigeons in there waving at us, while it was being passed on the inside of the corner by a drifting M3 CSL.
The cars that you see there is absolute madness...
On the road to the track you see the BMW driving school, with about 50 E46 M3's :
On the parking lot it's a lot of Porsche 911 GT2, GT3, Carrera RS GT3, TVR Chimera, Nissan Skyline R32/33/34 (?), a lot of E30 M3, even Cecotto's
Lots of Evo's VI, VII and VIII, Impreza WRX etc.
It's a car fanatics wet dream

Even I got passed by about everyone who could pass me, but I don't know the track, it was wet and I didn't want to wreck my car.
First time I did 13min for the whole track, the second time 11min.
Planning to go there for a couple of days and you must come with me mate
I'll try to gather some friends with Bimmers so we can have a good time there with lots of driving action

i saw on discovery channel, people lining up, for yeah 15Euros per lap or something, but then how is it timed, do u do it yourself? and if its just a normal road, isnt there more than one entrance/exit to it? im kinda confused, i thought it was fully a track nowdays.
Nope It's a tollroad, only one way ofcourse. You have 2 entries, one half way in the middle where the track goes over a village.. really strange to see that
Speeds are unlimited, but there is one corner where the speedlimit is 90km/h, and there was a piece were they were busy with the road (pilons, nobody working) where the speedlimit was 70km/h.
So it's a closed road, in trackform, where you can drive what you want.
Funny thing is that your insurance is valid on the Ring
Timing must be done yourself, because it's not a official track and you have to brake on the end of the straight line just before the "finish" (there isnt' any, because it's a road...)
