vibrations

I've got a problem with my car, when i get it upto some kind of decent speed - around 70 - 90 mph, the steering wheel seems to shake/vibrate, does anyone know what could be causing this?

is it just a simple case of getting my wheels balanced or is it something more serious?

from my knowloedge, if its only doing it at high speeds it most like wheel balancing.

howz the tread on the front tires?
maybe u can swap from back to front and see if the problem goes away..
yeah... if the steering wheel vibrates at low speeds it could be your rotors..
maybe u just need new tires..

mine did it and i got my tires aligned and wahlah no more shaking! but does it shake when you are on the brake slowing down also?

Mine shakes when braking, but not driving. No passengers can feel, I can just feel it in my steering wheel. I had my BM guy look at it and he feels it isnt an issue and that the brake discs may be slightly warped and at high speeds the shake is exaggerated due to the motion.

I guess if it is happening without brakes it may be balancing or tyres.

Has the car ever had a bump against a kerb? that may have mis-alligned one of the wheels.
