I just purchased a setup of m3 cams, vanos and full head for my 328i engine that is in my 325i :P These cams were from a 98 with 30k on them. I did this so I could use my JimC chip that I was specially made for my project. But after finding out that I couldn't use this chip unless I had m3 cams, I was a little pissed so I decided to buy some. Anyways, my mechanic says there is a special tool used to align the cams or vanos or something. Does anyone know what they are and where I can get it from?

thanks...

Do you mean the cam removal tool? The insanely expensive one that is only made by some dude in germany?

Check pelicanparts.com they have a write up on how to remove the cams without the tool.
