i'm replacing the valve cover and all the grommets on a '92 325is and i want to know if anyone knows the actual stock color on the cover?

not the plastic cover, the actual aluminum valve cover underneath. the paint on mine is peeling and i'd like to refinish it before i reinstall it.

when the plastic cover is installed, you can't see any paint............. anyway, for better heat drain you'll paint it black...........

actually, you can see the very front of the aluminum cover. i believe it is 3" X 10" of the actual cover that shows, it looks like a goldish/silver and i'm just trying to find out the correct stock color. but thanks for the advice !
