they are pretty damn close in weight not enough to make a real big deal, just get what you need 2 door or 4, but the Is could and probably does have a sport package, which is cool, and it has a longer engine bay

thats because the chassis is made stiffer and sportier to support pressure on corners and keep a good handling.

The doors and the reinforcement needed for the doors and roof are make the "is" heavier. Probaly 80-100lbs difference.
On a side note, the "i" has the stiffer chassis, it has a higher roof line and frame around the windows.

Then why the hell do they put IS on it if it doesn't have the sport package? Just cause its' a 2 door?
