Hey guys I just installed my UUC system U! i love the way it sounds, but the tips stick out very far out of the rear, about 4-5" You can see almost the entire tip and tail from the muffler. The muffler sits right up against the rear valence and the tips stick out very far back. It's centered well, it just sticks out far. It actually sticks out further than my rear bumper and looks very Ricer. I hate ricers!!
Does anyone else have this fitment issue?

i have never heard of any bad fitment issues.... you could have had a defect... or mounted it wrong.,. which would be hard to do... honestly im not sure!
Most aftermarket exhausts are taylored to M3's, and M3's have that rear bumper that sticks out further than on any other E36's. So it probably will stick out further on yours unless you have an M3 lower bumper piece. That could be it but I'm not too sure.
i highly doubt that since thers many people that i see that have the uuc exhuast on a non m3 without the rear insert.. sooo ill try to get some info for you!
I know it's mounted correctly, i've done it numerous times. I've already talked to UUC and understeer and both they said the same thing how aftermarket exhausts are tailored for the M3, but i don't think the tips should stick out 4" and be able to see the entire tip, they think so also. I could buy an M3 rear diffuser for ~$300, or I could take it to a muffler shop and have them cut for ~$50. I'm going to talk more with UUC before i cut anything, dropping $300 is out of the question.

i have a 92 e36 325is, and i have the same issue...i dont know bout stikin out 4 inches but my car is below..my problem is that my bumper is hangin off a little, after the accident hte car was in 94, the previous owner mickey moused it back on...i bascialy need to remove it and try to put it on again Or basically get a new bumper(which will be m3 spec)...
Thanks a lot SpeedInfusion for that pic. Mine looks similar to that, but mine sits a little higher and closer to the valence, but again my sticks out a little bit more than that. If you don't mind, do you have a side pic with the exhaust. I'm trying to get a look at the profile for a direct comparison. Thanks buddy.
BTW, your car looks hot. If you wanted maybe some clear or smoked tails. Smoked looks good on red cars. Where you from in LA, i think i've seen your ride before.

im from west la but i work in the glendale area, im always crusin around the valley pickin up and delivering parts etc..
ill take some pics tommorow for ya...if u want, call this guy named john at EMW(European Motorwerks) he is hella cool, take it to him and have him take a look, imo hes the best in Socal
SpeedInfusion, that just doesn't look right to me. I know BavAuto sells an M3 Diffuser Style bumper insert that will fit right into the stock spot on non-m3 bumpers. Looks exactly like the m3 bumper I think. I think the price was ~ 100$. I can't get to their site right now though.
my uuc TSE sticks out far too. it sticks out farther than it should IMO. my uncle (racecar mechanic) made fun of me for it. hes like "you should cut that." i can deal w/ it i guess... illl get a pic here in a sec
