I have a 1995 325is, and the driver seat around the lumbar is worn and now tearing....any idea as to how much it would cost to have the seat re-done?

I'm not sure which is cheaper, but I have the same problem you do, only the foam has come out of my seat... I will probably just get a new cushion, The BMW seats are pretty modular, the lower part and the back rest can be replaced separately. The new cushions are pre-covered. you may not need that but It just depends on how much it costs to get your seat re-covered, and if you can find someone who does good work.

i saw on Power Block or one of those shows on Spike where they reappolstered a mustang. i forget the name of the website where you can look into buying the leather covers and putting them on your seats over the foam, if anyone saw the same show or knows of the website or similar places please let me know.

replace the seats for sport seats? or buy second hand leather ones ?
