danyal711 is an unknown quantity at this point
Hi, I have a 1992 325is (auto) and a couple days ago I replaced the stock exhaust with an 1999 M3 stock exhaust and I replaced the stock intake with an ecis intake.

First the questions about the exhaust: My friend assured me that this exhaust would be compatible with my car etc and it obviously fit fine but is it actually ok to put the 99 M3 exhaust on my car? The exhaust sounds great at low rpms but at moderate -> WOT, it is extremely loud. First of all, even at low RPM's/Idle, the sound it makes really amazed my friend and I. Its extremely deep and and kind of cycles in and out (isnt perfectly smooth) like a muscle car or something to that degree. Anyways, I was wondering if this is characteristic of the mod or there is something wrong? What else could I check to see if everything is fine?

Regarding the intake: It's a used intake and right now I am using the old filter that the previous owner had. It is extremely dirty and so I think I may already know the answer to this question but I just wanted to make sure. It seems like after putting the intake in the engine is getting less air because now it is much harder to get the car to shift (its an automatic). So now when I am going 20-25mph in 2nd, and I floor it, it doesnt shift back into first which it used to do. Any ideas?

Thanks
-Danyal
