unknowm beeping sound 1 min after car is on

Hey You Guys,

Question, my friend owns a 1996 325 convertible and yesterday about a minute into driving we suddenly heard a beeping sound, more like 3 long beeps coming from somewhere behind the dashboard. Nothing came up on the instruments so wondering if any one has any idea what it meant or what it could be??

do you notice if it sounds close to the hour? If so this may be your memo, turn it off and the beeps will go away.

Yah, it's the memo for sure..my 325 was doing the same thing when I first got it
