Underside Wiring

I was replacing the underpanels today and noticed a wire out on the right (while facing the vehicle) hand side right next to the front tire. It is a black wire with a white adapter on the end that looks like the end of a headphone plug. Anyone have any idea what this is or where it goes?

sounds like the temp sensor.

yes, it snapps into a hole in the brake duct. Unhook the sensor and the OBC reports that the outside temp is negative 35 degrees. Won't affect preformance I think, just the temp rating will be really really friggin cold.

Nope the temperature changes and is still accurate with the outside temperature.

it doesnt have to be disconnected. I looks like a long narrow tube right?

It's a narrow tube with what looks like a headphone plug on the end. The headphone end has to go somewhere. Sorry but that's the best way I can describe it. It's not too long either ... It would however drag on the ground if I didn't tie it up.

i have the same problem... i came back from MA the other day and when i looked underneath the car, the protective plastic was broker from one end and was draggin on the floor... also there was wire jus like the one you guyz described and i have no idea what it is... i will try to take some pics when i get home and post it...
i have not experienced any performance issues since then but still makes me nervous and want to fix it...

can you guyz look at my signature and tell me what that wire is... i know the picture is kinda big so i will remove from my signature from future posts... but i jus wanted to find out what this wire was and this was the only way i coiuld've posted a pic...
should this wire be plugged in somewhere or does it just stay like that...
