I'm pretty sure.. if your looking towards the aft end of your car... the top left of the engine where the data uplink is located... and the top right.. where the foward fuse box is located. Mainly anything that looks ike it has a lot of wires.. does not need to be hit with water.. If no one else gets pics... I will post some in a few days.. I'm on a work trip...
That's not *entirely* true. Everything under there has some protection from water, but you should be careful if you're going to pressure wash your motor or something like that. Avoid the uplink and the fuse box and other wiring, but it's not like you have to seal it up in plastic bags. And yes, I *have* pressure washed my motor with no ill effects.

I agree.
The only thing I would really avoid getting wet is an exposed air filter. If you have one, it's best to remove it and cover the intake tube to avoid water getting in the intake.
I just cover my open style cone filter, start the car and spray away with my power washer. I don't see any harm in getting the engine wet. It gets wet on it's own when you drive through a rain storm. I would just avoid soaking any particular part of the engine (eg. valve cover, ignition parts, fuse box, belts, etc). I wash my engine everytime I do an oil change and I've never had any problems.
