Yeah. Must be welded back together and reinforced with z3 shock mount reinforcement plates. Here are a couple of links from when the same thing happened to Del:

Yup. It's right there with corner lights falling off, the glovebox sagging, and the A/C unit crapping out.

It's not a big deal. BMW of Fairfax charged me $220 to weld in a new shock tower. Put in TMS braces as well and it shouldn't happen again.

soooo!!! crisis over with. I talked to my pops and he used a guy in portland to fix his old 356 porsche. Dad said he did a great job so he took my car down there for me and the guy welded a plate in place for $75. it doesn't look perfect but it does look a lot better than it did. i alsoo ordered those TMS reinforcement kit and he said he'd weld them in place for $25. i'll post some pics if you guys want to see. just let me know... and by the way, thanks for the replies peeps.
