Wouldn't be a bit easier to change the compression ratio with a modified cylinder head?

caveat: its easy to RAISE your C:R with a modified head. its harder to lower it accurately. modified stock PISTONS on the other hand is easier.

CP pistons will custom make any piston for any application with 6-8 week lead time. they are who made the custom race pistons i used in my room mates car to my own specifications. they were like 200-ish per piston.
