Tune up...

Im looking to replace a few things on my car and perhaps get a few upgrades this summer. What would you guys recommend for each item. I want good performance, but Im not paying rediculous prices... (My car is a '97 328i sedan)

Battery
Spark Plugs and wires
Brakes (Rotors and pads)
O2 Sensors
Wipers
Speakers... (yes I know this isnt ness. a BMW question, but i have a blown one up front, so im not getting stock.)
Exhaust... good performance for the $$?

And anything else you guys think I should replace...

dont get ur chip until ur done with all ur engine mods...

Sorry for the ignorance, but what is the "chip"?

doesn't sound like you have too many electonics in your car.. so a optima wouldn't be your best buy on the battery... u can just get a diehard or somthing...

bosch spark plugs are the way to go...

def upgrade the brakes to crossdrilled, u can buy a kit on ebay(i got mine there) with zimmerman rotors and pbr ceramic pads for 350...

i had a hard time with wipers on my car...i dunno why.. but my wipers would crisscross and break..so i had to go tot he dealer and get them...

speakers int he front at 5 1/4... u can pick up a pair anywhere for like 60 bucks

exhaust... ehh not too sure.. never really thought about it

it changes info in your computer like timing and air/fuel ratios to give you more power

I know the speaker size... but what aftermarkets sound good for the money? I had some MB Quarts in my A4 and they sound great... but were pricey.

are all original bmw speakers made by nokia? mine were! yeah i replaced mine with crossover alpine, only like 25W rms and they're good enough! could do with a bit more base in the back with the 4" but good enough for now anyway!

oh and gettin good wiper blades is impossible, do u think the dealer sells good ones? sorry dont mean to steal!!

Unless you have an intake and exhaust on there....

Battery: Optima... only way to go.
Spark plugs and wires: Get OEM. Period.. they are copper. Wires: Yours are fine unless you plan on re-doing fuel... timing.. ect.
Brakes: Rotors: Zimmerman (good price) get regular rotors... no need for x-drilled or slotted.. unless you plan to use them for more than sprinted driving. Pads: Get OEM... unless you need more... should be no need.
O2 sensors: Get OEM... www.bimmerworld.com
Wipers: Get the teflon ones.. thy work good and last.
Speakers: I have no clue...
Exhaust...: Borla... a little exspensive.. but the sound is wonderful.. I'm partial..
