i ordered a new CF CAI for 318is... and now i read tat they dont even sound good on the m44 1.9L engine? ghead should i forget the install and return ASAP? or is that bullshit and i am in the clear?

Who cares what the hell it sounds like... did you buy it because of the sound.. if so.. return it... they are meant for performance.. and letting your engine get some nice cooler air... not to make the engine sound better.. if that was the case.. people would buy speakers to put under their cars... so that when the rev it.. the speaker makes it sound like a jet engine or something.... ghead

basically no CAI is gonna sound good. get a heat shield because it seems liek you bought this one regardless of performance and you might as well salvage somehting out of your puchase.
