Trouble removing fuel filter (92 325is)

I've been trying to remove my fuel filter for exactly an hour now and it won't budge. I read Wayne's (from pelican auto) steps but the car he's working on is a little different. I unscrewed both clips for the hoses and removed the bottom hose but couldn't reach the top one.

The plastic piece that's housing the filter has no loosening/tightening mechasim and the filter would not move at all. Has anybody done this with this car? My car is still on the ramp with battery and fuse out, I should've foreseen the problem before starting.

did you try cutting a small bit of hose to loosen it up again, vise grips might help to pull off the hoses, try reading wayne's write up again

no no no..that's not the problem. I loosened the hoses but the main problem is the removing the filter itself. I didn't find any way to loosen it or pull it out. Wayne's model has a big clamp around the filter, and it is easily removed by loosening it. This one doesn't.

is there a cover covering the filter, maybe some better pics would help, i can't tell what's going on by the pics you posted, on my car there is a door that is covering it

Got it. I looked up the whole fuel supply diagram and found the screw. It was very difficult to reach but finally loosened. Thanks for the reply.
