 Trouble with radio
I recently replaced my stereo system and im a little confused. I had a panasonic head unit that was decent but i really wanted some better in the car. so i went and bought an alpine dvd unit. I had it professionally installed because of all the wiring that was involved. Now that its installed, the radio is really not loud at all. The installer at Jo DIS said that they connected the radio up to the amp that the car came with. Is it possible that the Alpine head unit is taking too much power from the amp and thats why the radio is not as loud as i expected it to be? i could turn it all the way up and still have a conversation with the people in the back seat. I just hope i didnt spend all this money for nothing. the radio came with a amp 18wattx4 that was suppose to be installed but i was told by the installer that the bmw amp is better and it was not needed. Can some one please help out. I need the sound to be louder and i feel like they played around with me about the amp. |
